I Got A Chase Sapphire Preferred Card

FINANCE

Here’s my humble opinion on it so far

After applying for card, I got instantly approved (approximately 10–15 minutes) with an average credit score. However, the process of approval differs person to person so it might be different for others.

The card did take 7 days to arrive in the mail so the wait was a little long. The mail was a blank, normal looking mail with no indication that it was from a credit card company unless you felt around the mail itself.

The physical card is made of metal and feels fancy. It comes with tap to pay capabilities and works great at the Costco pump station for fast payment.

The first $4000 spent in the first 3 months gives you 80,000 bonus points separate from the points you earn while buying stuff. This means you can earn even more points especially when you use the ‘shop through chase portal’.

Furthermore, it has zero foreign transaction fees, according to Chase, and you get more points when you book your travel through them whether online or over the phone (if you want to travel on Southwest Airlines).

The points you accumulate can be used to redeem for cash or used to buy other travel through their ultimate rewards program which is a nice addition.

Also, the Chase customer service is great, very friendly and very helpful. They make sure all of your issues resolved especially in a timely manner.

It has an annual cost of $95 dollars and you have to manually enter the card into Apple Pay/Wallet, PayPal etc. for the first time. If you have the right circumstances to pay off your balance every month, then the advantages might be fully in your favor.

Also, in case you lose your card, it can be added to Apple Pay with no issues except for PayPal in my experience.

Finally, the Chase Sapphire Card is a great travel credit card if you are into gaining points and exploring places after long months of hard work and stress. It comes with many perks such as ultimate rewards, insurance and redeemable points.
