Get ahead of yourself!

Winning always starts with a dream, a dream documented with an intention becomes a vision and then dreams can come through if there is a desire to pursue. All humans are said to have potentials but only a few have the urge to pursue, and you cannot win if you don’t even believe in yourself so it takes quite a lot to win.

A wise writer once said, “The price of anything is the amount of life you give to it”. If life is time well spent and life is governed by time, permit me then to say that Time is life. So I’d proceed to define winning as time well spent in good proportion to consistency over anything you’ve set to do for yourself.

Winning is a long-term faith in pursuit of your own cause, beating through the difficulties that will later on become lessons, because the more successful you are at a thing is the equal number of times you’ve had to fail at it, you probably didn't give up and was always looking for new ways to tackle through, so kudos to you if this is your testimony. Failing over a thing severally and not giving up, looking for other ways to make it work all sums up to accumulated knowledge, but all of these cannot be achieved without consistency. If you quit at the slightest inconvenience, then your path to success might just still be a little far my friend.

Time is such a significant factor in growth or success and just like i said earlier, success will only come if your time is spent well in good proportion to repetition or consistency. You cannot figure out a thing by glancing or trying just once and giving up, you just can’t. Often times we get discouraged because we put in efforts and results are not forth coming, you probably have not put in enough efforts yet and you should try harder because sometimes all it takes to keep going or staying motivated are the little wins we experience while chasing the bigger picture and success in simple terms is accumulation of small wins.

We often overwhelm ourselves with so many unnecessary thoughts that keeps discouraging us, I mean it’s fine if you feel it’s impossible for you to own a bakery, but why not start with baking meat pies and spring rolls first. The human mind is wired to crave growth so at some point you’d see the need to expand and just what scares you might become your biggest achievement. All you have to do is START.

Lots of people become stagnant in the pursuit of success because they’ve refused to be flexible, even when your mind craves for growth, you might be short sighted and never see the bigger picture, don’t always get too comfortable with where you are because comfort sometimes is usually the biggest threat to growth.

Challenge yourself to do more, set targets, meet deadlines, stay focused, eradicate your fears and starve your distractions. Staying focused comes with a lot of mastering and dedication too but guess what, that’s just all you need to win because what you focus on is what generates the willpower in you. If you focus on where you want to be and follow through its entire process without seeking shortcuts, sooner than later, you’d be where you want to be but if you focus on your fears then distractions are inevitable. Remember it's only a dream until proven otherwise.

If you must get ahead of yourself, you need to know that no one is coming to save you, so you have to get your ass up and get busy. Nature is fair and it will only reward you with what you deserve, so get to work!
