The Pain and Struggle of Unrequited Love

What happens when you love someone who just doesn’t feel the same. Can you completely move on? Will you always wonder “what if”? These are questions, I still don’t have the answer to, but I do have experience in this department.

I’m here to let you know that happiness won’t always elude you. When you’re in the thick of it, it can feel like the pain and suffering won’t ever end, but it does. After years of this torture, I finally met someone who deserved my heart, but even then I took some time to walk away from someone who never felt the same way I did. Walking away was the best thing I’ve ever done, or could do.

Putting yourself first in an obviously toxic relationship is a survival method. Don’t ever feel bad for walking away, you did it because you had to. When I walked away from the questions I had, whether we could make something work, whether there was something there, I felt like I was dying but not for long.
